Ô la langue! / O the tongue!

Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux.

D'après Abou Wail, 'Abdallah Ibn Mass'oud (qu'Allah l'agrée) est monté sur Safa (*), il a prit sa langue et a dit:
« Ô la langue! Dis du bien tu obtiendra un butin, tais-toi sur le mal tu seras préservée avant de regretter.
Puis il a dit : J'ai entendu le Prophète dire: « La plupart des péchés du fils de Adam proviennent de sa langue ».

(*) C'est le nom d'une petite montagne à La Mecque proche de la Ka'ba.

In english:

By Abou Wail, 'Abdallah Ibn Mass'oud climbed up on Safa (*), he took his tongue and said:

O the tongue! Said of good you will obtain of spoils, shut up on the evil you will be preserve before to regret.

Then he said: I listened the Prophet to say: « The Most of the sins of the son of Adam from his tongue ».

(*) It's the name of the little mountain at The Mecca nearby of the Ka'ba.
