En français: 

Le Mahdi est un homme que Allah va envoyer à la fin des temps lorsque la terre sera remplie d'injustice et de mal, lorsque la vérité aura été oubliée, lorsque le désordre sera répandu. C'est à ce moment qu'Allah va envoyer cet homme comme dirigeant qui rendra meilleur les créatures et va montrer la vérité.

• La situation dans laquelle le Mahdi sera envoyé

D'après Qoura Ibn Iyas Al Mouzani (qu'Allah l'agrée), le Prophète  a dit: « Certes la terre sera remplie d'iniquité et d'injustice. Quant ce sera le cas, Allah va envoyer un homme de ma descendance dont le nom est le même que le mien. Alors il va remplir la terre d'équité et de justice comme elle avait été remplie d'iniquité et d'injustice ».

• Le Mahdi sera envoyé à l'époque de la descente de 'Issa Ibn Maryam (que la prière d'Allah et son salut soient sur lui) qui va prier derrière lui

D'après Abou Sa'id Al Khoudri (qu'Allah l'agrée), le Prophète  a dit: « Il y a parmi ma descendance une personne derrière qui 'Issa Ibn Maryam va prier ».

(Rapporté par Abou Nouaym et authentifié par Cheikh Albani dans Sahih Al Jami n°5920)


D'après Jabir Ibn 'Abdillah (qu'Allah les agrée), le Prophète  a dit: « 'Issa Ibn Maryam va descendre et leur émir, le Mahdi, va dire: Viens prier pour nous comme imam. Il dira: Non, les uns sont les dirigeants des autres. Ceci est une faveur d'Allah pour cette communauté ».

(Rapporté par Al Harith Ibn Abi Ousama et authentifié par Cheikh Albani dans la Silsila Sahiha n°2236)

• Le Mahdi porte le même nom que le Prophète (que la prière d'Allah et son salut soient sur lui) et son père porte le même nom que le père du Prophète (que la prière d'Allah et son salut soient sur lui)

D'après 'Abdallah Ibn Mas'oud (qu'Allah l'agrée), le Prophète  a dit: « Même s'il ne restait qu'une seule nuit de la vie d'ici-bas, un homme de ma famille prendrait certes la gouvernance, son nom est identique au mien ».

(Rapporté par Ibn Hibban et authentifié par Cheikh Albani dans sa correction de Sahih Ibn Hibban n°5923)


D'après 'Abdallah Ibn Mas'oud (qu'Allah l'agrée), le Prophète  a dit: « Même s'il ne restait qu'une seule journée de la vie d'ici-bas, Allah allongerait certes cette journée jusqu'à ce qu'il y envoie un homme de ma famille dont le nom est identique au mien et le nom de son père est identique au nom de mon père. Il va remplir la terre d'équité et de justice comme elle avait été remplie d'iniquité et d'injustice ».

(Rapporté par Abou Daoud dans ses Sounan n°4282 et authentifié par Cheikh Albani dans sa correction de Sounan Abi Daoud)

• Le Mahdi fait partie de la famille du Prophète  . Il est de la descendance de Fatima (qu'Allah l'agrée)

D'après Abou Houreira (qu'Allah l'agrée), le Prophète  a dit: « Même s'il ne restait qu'une seule nuit de la vie d'ici-bas, un homme de la famille du Prophète  prendrait certes la gouvernance ».

(Rapporté par Ibn Hibban et authentifié par Cheikh Albani dans sa correction de Sahih Ibn Hibban n°5922)

D'après Oum Salama (qu'Allah l'agrée), le Prophète  a dit: « Le Mahdi fait partie de ma descendance, il est parmi les enfants de Fatima (*) ».

(*) C'est à dire qu'il est de la descendance du Prophète   par la voie de Fatima.

The Mahdi is a man whom Allah will send at the end of time when the earth is filled with injustice and evil, when the truth has been forgotten, when the disorder is prevalent. It was at this time that Allah will send this man as leader who will best creatures and will show the truth.

• The situation in which the Mahdi will be sent

According to Ibn Iyas Al Qura Muzani (raa), the Prophet  said: « Certainly the earth will be filled with iniquity and injustice. As this will be the case, Allah will send a man from my progeny whose name is the same as mine. Then he will fill the earth with equity and justice as it was filled with iniquity and injustice ».

• The Mahdi will be sent at the time of the descent of 'Isa ibn Maryam (as the prayer of Allah and His salvation be upon him) who will pray behind him

According to Abu Said Al Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet  said: « There are among my offspring a person behind whom 'Isa ibn Maryam will pray ».

(Reported by Abu Nouaym and authenticated by Shaykh Albani in Sahih Al Jami No. 5920)

According to Jabir Ibn Abdillah (may Allah be pleased), the Prophet  said: « 'Isa ibn Maryam will descend and their amir, the Mahdi, will say: Come pray for us as imam. He will say: No, some are leaders of others. This is a favor from Allah for this community ».

• The Mahdi has the same name as the Prophet  and his father has the same name as the father of the Prophet .

According to 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet  said: « Even if it was remaining one night in the life of this world, a man of my family will take certainly the governance, its name is identical to mine ».

(Reported by Ibn Hibban and authenticated by Shaykh Albani in his Sahih Ibn Hibban correction No. 5923)

According to 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet  said: « Even if it was remaining one night in the life of this world, Allah will lengthen certainly this day until that there sends a man from my family whose name is identical to mine and his father's name is identical to the name of my father. He will fill the earth with equity and justice as it was filled with iniquity and injustice ».

(Reported by Abu Dawud in his Sunan No. 4282 and authenticated by Shaykh Albani in his Sunan Abi Dawood correction)

• The Mahdi is part of the Prophet's family. He is of the descendant of Fatima (raa)

From Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet  said: « Even if it was remaining one night in the life of this world, a man of the Prophet's family will take certainly the governance ».

(Reported by Ibn Hibban and authenticated by Shaykh Albani in his Sahih Ibn Hibban correction No. 5922)

According to Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet  said: « The Mahdi is part of my progeny, it is among the children of Fatima (*) ».

(Reported by Abu Dawud in his Sunan No. 4284 and authenticated by Shaykh Albani in his Sunan Abi Dawood correction)

(*) That is to say that it is the descendants of the Prophet  through Fatima.
